England’s Tyrrell Hatton carded a one-under par 70 to seal a two-shot win at LIV Golf Andalucia.

Despite an up and down round featuring four birdies and three bogeys, Hatton finished on 11-under at Real Club Valderrama to claim a second win in three years on the Tour.

The 34-year-old was playing his first tournament since his wife Emily gave birth to their first child last month.

“To be honest, I thought no matter how today went, I’m still going to be home tonight, and I’ll walk into a crying newborn, and I’ll be doing nappies,” he said.

“That was going to happen regardless.”

John Rahm carded a five-under final round 67 to finish second on nine-under, one shot ahead of Mexico’s Abraham Ancer and two clear of fellow Spaniard Sergio Garcia.

South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen withdrew from Sunday’s final round with a back injury.

Hatton’s Legion XIII won the team competition on seven-under, six shots clear of 4Aces GC and Torque GC.
