The National Lottery is on the lookout for a mystery winner in the gateway to the Peak District.

A National Lottery Set For Life ticket purchased in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire has gone unclaimed.

The £10,000 per month for an entire year has gone unclaimed.

The winning ticket, bought from a shop in the borough, successfully matched all five main numbers in the draw held on Monday, May 18.

The lucky combination was 3, 21, 22, 28 and 38.

Unfortunately for the mystery ticket holder, the window to collect this substantial prize has now closed.

The deadline to come forward was Saturday, November 14, giving players the standard 180 days from the draw date to make their claim.

Despite appeals from Allwyn, the National Lottery operator, urging anyone who purchased a ticket in the area to thoroughly check their numbers, no winner has materialised.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, had previously said: “We’d like nothing more than to unite our mystery ticket-holder with their incredible prize.”

With the claim period now expired, the substantial prize fund will be redirected to benefit communities throughout Britain.

The unclaimed winnings, along with all interest accrued during the 180-day waiting period, will be distributed to projects supported by National Lottery funding.

This outcome means that while one individual has missed out on a life-changing sum, numerous charitable initiatives and community programmes will receive additional financial support.

The Set For Life game offers winners the chance to receive regular monthly payments rather than a single lump sum, providing financial security over an extended period.

Allwyn had encouraged anyone who believed they had a valid claim but had lost their ticket to submit a written request within 30 days of the original draw.

Players with queries about any National Lottery draw can contact the helpline on 0333 234 5050 or reach out via email.

It comes after a separate player from the West Midlands finally stepped forward to claim a substantial National Lottery prize, following an appeal by operators to locate them.

The total prize is £120,000, a potentially life-changing sum for the winner

Allwyn, which runs the National Lottery, confirmed today it had received a claim from a player in Wolverhampton for the Set For Life second prize worth £10,000 every month for an entire year.

The ticket holder was unaware of their windfall for several weeks after the draw, prompting lottery officials to urge players across the region to check their tickets carefully.

The total prize is £120,000, a potentially life-changing sum for the winner.

The winning ticket matched all five main numbers drawn on April 27, 2026, with the successful combination being 6, 13, 37, 42 and 43.
