Emmerdale fans have taken to social media to express their fury over reports of the latest exit on the soap amid string of departures.

It was previously reported that Nick Miles, who plays Jimmy King and Olivia Bromley, who features as Dawn Taylor, have been axed from the soap, and now it is understood that Bradley Johnson, who plays Vinny Dingle, will also be leaving.

The 28-year-old actor has played the adopted son of Emmerdale icon, Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) since 2019.

A source from the soap stated: “Bradley is a very popular member of the cast and especially close with his on-screen Dingle family.

Another penned: “Interesting how #Emmerdale seem to be having more extreme cast culls then #Corrie at the moment taking into account they are both under ITV?

“Such a shame that Vinny is leaving – I loved his scenes with Mandy and his relationship with Lewis had potential.”

“I’m gutted that Vinny is leaving because I really love his friendship with Kammy and Belle, as well as his relationship with Lewis. They make such a good friend group. #Emmerdale,” a third echoed.

Another wrote: “Devastated that @Brad_J_J is leaving #Emmerdale – Does this mean a breakup is possible for Lewis & Vinny? Mandy is about to lose her son as well when she’s lost the salon.”

Emmerdale’s Jimmy King, played by Nick Miles, is also thought to be leaving

A different X user added: “Gutted he’s one of my favourites, can’t believe they are chucking out who ever they please.”

One more shared: “After months of waiting for Vinny and Lewis to get together, now the couple is going to be destroyed. This is truly awful. #Emmerdale.” (sic)

GB News has reached out to ITV for a comment on the reports.

Mr Johnson made his debut on the soap seven years ago as part of Ms Riley’s return plot as Mandy.

The source continued by adding: “Lisa is devastated. She adores Bradley and they have such a close bond. It just shows that no-one is safe.”

The character has been at the centre of a number of significant storylines, such as suffering abuse at the hands of his father, Paul (Reece Dinsdale), and the death of his girlfriend Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele).

He was also married for a short period to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), and more recently has entered a relationship with Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches).

News of the apparent axe came just days after Mr Miles was reported to be leaving the soap after two decades as Jimmy King.

Reports also suggest Emmerdale’s Dawn Taylor will be leaving the soap

It is understood that Jimmy will be killed off in the soap’s major stunt later this year when his ex-wife Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) returns to Emmerdale.

There is further speculation that soap bosses are plotting even more cast members to make an exit in the big stunt.

ITV has seen cost-cutting measure implemented across various shows, with daytime television impacted as well as Coronation Street.

Both soaps ditched their previous one-hour slots last year for 30-minute episodes each, airing every weekday.
