Jack Osbourne has furiously hit back at critics who accused him of being “grossly underweight”, branding the speculation “insane”.

The 40-year-old reality star took to social media to address growing concern over his appearance, insisting he is healthy and simply committed to fitness and martial arts training.

Jack said: “I cannot believe I’m having to actually make this f****** video.

“If I see one more article written about me saying how I’m sick, I’m grossly underweight… what’s going on? It’s f****** insane.”

Fans of the star have shown concern over his new slim frame

The reality star confirmed his weight has remained unchanged since leaving the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle around six months ago.

He joked the only real change to his appearance had been swapping his beard for what he described as “a creepy moustache”.

Jack revealed he currently weighs 155 pounds, around 11 stone, at a height of five foot eight and a half, insisting it is “perfectly healthy” for his build.

The television personality explained he keeps in shape through intense training at a jiu-jitsu gym.

“I train f****** hard at a jiu-jitsu gym,” he said, adding: “What’s the big f****** deal?”

During his time in the Australian jungle late last year, Jack lost around a stone while surviving on a basic diet of rice and beans.

At that time he dropped to 11 stone 2 pounds, the lightest weight of his adult life.

He also reflected on his longer-term fitness journey, revealing he had once reached around 220 pounds before deciding to overhaul his lifestyle.

Jack explained: “I’ve been consistently but slowly losing weight for the last three and a half years.

“I shot up to about 220 pounds three and a half years ago and decided that I wanted to make some changes. So I did.”

Celebrity friends and fans of the star were quick to share their thoughts in the comments of the video.

This Morning’s Alison Hammond penned: “Preach !!!!!!!! Love you.”

Kelly Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne have also faced criticism for their dramatic weight loss

Comedian Pauly Shore wrote: “Buddy you are perfect.”

West End star Kristin Chenoweth responded with two red love hearts.

“In the words of your father Ozzy tell all these people to F off!!! Keep doing you Jack!” one fan posted, as another said: “Keep up the good work, dude!”

However, not everyone had such encouragement for the TV personality.

One person commented: “Started with Kelly and now you.”

Another accused the star of hiding he is on weight loss jabs.

Jack previously transformed his life in his twenties after giving up alcohol and drugs entirely.

He later documented losing around 70 pounds on his programme Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie following training at a Muay Thai camp in Thailand.

Jack is not the only member of the famous family to face scrutiny over weight loss in recent months.

His mother, Sharon Osbourne, and sister, Kelly Osbourne, have also appeared in public with slimmer appearances.

Kelly recently condemned online trolls after receiving body-shaming comments following her appearance at the Brit Awards earlier this year, where she paid tribute to her late father, Ozzy, alongside Sharon.

She described the abuse as showing “a profound absence of compassion and character” while grieving during “the hardest time” of her life.

On a happier note, Jack announced in March he and wife Aree Gearhart had welcomed a baby daughter named Ozzy Matilda, a touching tribute to Ozzy, who died last July aged 76.
