Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have received an invitation to the upcoming Royal Family wedding.

Peter Phillips is set to marry NHS nurse Harriet Sperling on Saturday, June 6, with the ceremony taking place at All Saints’ Church in Kemble, Gloucestershire.

The 48-year-old grandson of the late Queen Elizabeth II will exchange vows with his 45-year-old bride in front of numerous senior members of the Royal Family.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are confirmed to attend their nephew’s nuptials, alongside Princess Anne, Zara Tindall, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, aged 37 and 36 respectively, have received invitations to their cousin’s wedding celebration next month.

Beatrice is confirmed to attend, whilst Eugenie, currently in her second trimester of pregnancy, hopes to be present.

However, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson will not be among the guests.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s invitation is the latest sign King Charles wants to keep his nieces in the family fold.

A source told The Sun: “The Royal Family needs good news and nothing unites like a big church wedding.”

The insider added that the King “always wanted both to remain part of the family” and “made it clear they are welcome at family events.”

A friend of Peter Phillips and Ms Sterling told Hello: “Peter and Harriet’s wedding is an intimate occasion with their close friends and immediate family around them in the Cotswolds. It’s an area where they grew up and is very special to them both.”

The insider added: “It was probably not deemed appropriate to invite (Andrew and Sarah Ferguson) them. It’s Peter and Harriet’s special day, and clearly their attendance would cause a distraction to the whole day.”

Prince Harry has also been left off the invitation list, with the friend revealing: “Peter and Harry haven’t spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn’t been invited.”

The estrangement marks a notable shift in the cousins’ relationship, given their previous attendance at one another’s family celebrations.

Peter Phillips was present when Harry married Meghan Markle, whilst Harry attended the wedding of Peter’s sister Zara to Mike Tindall.

The complete guest list remains undisclosed, though family members expected to attend include Peter Phillips’s divorced parents, Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, as well as his stepfather, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.

Phillips has two daughters from his 13-year marriage to Autumn Phillips: Savannah, aged 14, and Isla, aged 13. He is also uncle to Zara and Mike’s three children, Mia, Lena and Lucas.

Ms Sperling, who works as an NHS paediatric nurse, has a teenage daughter named Georgia from a previous relationship.

Peter Phillips proposed to Ms Sperling during last summer, with the engagement announcement confirming both families were “delighted with the wonderful news.”
