Richard Tice has torn into Wes Streeting after the former Health Secretary attacked Reform UK in his resignation letter.

Speaking to GB News, the Reform business spokesman said the remarks were “disgraceful”.

In his bombshell letter, Mr Streeting said it was “now clear” Sir Keir would not lead Labour into the next General Election and opened the door for a leadership race.

He also said Reform UK and Nigel Farage represented a “threat to the values and ideals that have made this country great” and “dangerous English nationalism”.

“The things that he said about Reform and Nigel are frankly disgraceful, and he should be ashamed of himself,” Mr Tice began.

“We’ve just won by a country mile in the local elections. We’re the biggest unionist party across Wales and Scotland, and that’s because we’re popular amongst voters,” he declared.

“Poor little chap, he’s so desperate he cannot accept that his party has been utterly rejected by the voters just literally a week ago.”

The Skegness MP also rejected the notion his party represented “dangerous English nationalism”.

“Well, isn’t it funny? We’ve literally just smashed it in Scotland and Wales, where we now have many more seats, many more elected representatives than the Labour Party.”

He described the electoral wins as “literally proving his nonsense as a bunch of twaddle”.

Mr Tice commented: “But then what do you expect from a Labour cabinet minister who’s never had a proper job in the real world, running businesses, making money for shareholders and investors, knowing how to grow things?”

“We actually represent everything that is great about this country.”

“Work, taking risks, entrepreneurship, family, community, country and bringing people together under the umbrella of British values, British decency, the great Christian Judeo foundations of our nation.

“That’s what we’re about. And it seems that large, large parts of the whole United Kingdom agree with us.”

GB News Deputy Political Editor Tom Harwood asked Mr Tice if Reform’s campaign slogan of “get Starmer out” had “contributed to the chaos”.

Mr Tice shot back: “Actually, voters have said, “Yes, we want Starmer out’.

“We know that there’s going to be a bit of short-term lack of governing.

“But all of those issues around the bond markets and the cost of government debt, what they call the UK moron premium, is because of the failures of the Chancellor and the Prime Minister and this cabinet over the last 22 months,” he insisted.
