Coombs has been a valuable squad member at City in recent years, becoming a dependable leader in a team full of stars and often filling in at various positions.

During her most effective seasons, she was a box-to-box midfielder with a strong passing range and good technical ability.

She was part of the Chelsea squad that won their first WSL title in 2015 and an FA Cup trophy.

Later, following a successful season on loan at Liverpool, she signed permanently and made a total of 74 appearances for the club.

Coombs has spent the last seven years at Manchester City, winning the FA Cup and League Cup in 2020 and 2022 respectively.

Having scored 27 goals in 147 appearances, her spell at the club will be celebrated at City’s final home league game on Sunday against Liverpool, with a trip to West Ham to follow on Saturday, 16 May.
