Security Minister Dan Jarvis has vowed that the Government will take “all necessary steps” to “make sure that we keep the public safe”.

Offering his response to the findings, Mr Jarvis said: “I note the comments from Sir Adrian Fulford with regard to the moral failing of the parents, and I note and agree with the findings that he has made.

“The Government is extremely determined to make sure that we learn the lessons from this terrible attack, that we look very carefully at the recommendations that have been made, and we’ll be responding to those as soon as we practically can. But we will take all necessary steps to make sure that we keep the public safe.”
