Wes Streeting has sent well-wishes to Eamonn Holmes as the GB News star recovers in hospital.

Speaking to The People’s Channel, the Health Secretary began his interview with Camilla Tominey by issuing the heartfelt tribute.

“On behalf of myself and the government, I just want to wish Eamonn Holmes well, and I hope he makes a fullsome recovery,” Mr Streeting said.

“We’re all thinking about him,” the Health Secretary added.

In a statement issued yesterday, GB News announced: “Eamonn was taken ill last week and it was later confirmed he had suffered a stroke. He is currently responding well to treatment.”
