Conservative shadow minister Matt Vickers has told GB News the British Medical Association (BMA) is “mugging us off” after resident doctors launched a strike over pay this morning.
The Shadow Minister of State for Illegal Immigration, Crime, Policing and Fire blamed Labour for “doling out the dosh” to unions and incentivising industrial action.
“If you start throwing money at every union that kicks off, they start coming out and kicking off more often,” Mr Vickers claimed.
“The BMA is mugging us off… We need to get tough with these guys.”
“These are people’s lives that these people are dealing with. There are waiting lists in hospitals throughout the country because they want a few quid more. It’s not on. It’s not acceptable,” the Tory minister slammed.
