Meghan Markle has changed into a pair of crinkled trousers that trail on the floor during her trip to Jordan, marking a bizarre fashion moment.

The Duchess of Sussex is currently on a two-day trip to the Middle Eastern country with her husband, Prince Harry, at the invitation of Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

For their second engagement of the day, Meghan, 44, and Harry, 41, listened to a music class at the QuestScope Youth Center.

The centre is located at the Za’atari refugee camp, home to displaced Syrians, near Mafraq in northern Jordan.

For the outing, the duchess wore a pair of trousers which bear resemblance to her Gabriela Hearst “Vargas” trousers from the Invictus Games in 2023.

The crinkled trousers appeared to be longer than Meghan’s legs, and unfortunately, covered the soles of her shoes.

The mother-of-two paired the trousers with a brown belt, a white shirt and an olive green T-shirt.

Meghan tied her brunette hair into a smart ponytail for the occasion.

Earlier today, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the WHO country office in Jordan’s capital, Amman.

During the trip, Meghan and Harry will support the WHO’s efforts to spotlight Jordan’s leadership in the regional humanitarian health response.

For this outing, the 44-year-old duchess donned a whopping £1,050 off-white jacket from one of her favourite brands, Veronica Beard.

The mother-of-two paired her jacket with off-white Veronica Beard Marbeau wide-leg trousers, which retail for £448, and are described as “a relaxed, roomy pant that still feels polished”.

Elsewhere on this trip, the former working royals will visit initiatives they have helped fund to medically evacuate children from the war in Gaza to the Middle East nation.

Their visit comes at a time of crisis for the Royal Family following the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Harry has not spoken publicly about the turmoil that has engulfed his relatives.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Since moving to California in 2020 for a new life, the Sussexes have carried out several foreign visits that, in many ways, mirrored official royal tours.

During their two-day visit, the Sussexes will meet Jordanian leaders and senior health officials, engage with WHO teams, visit frontline health and mental health programmes and meet World Central Kitchen staff co-ordinating food relief for Gaza from Amman.

The couple first partnered with the WHO on a global campaign to encourage vaccine equity and co-hosted a high-level event at the UN General Assembly in 2021.

Their charitable body has also worked with the organisation on its global initiative to help end violence against children.
