Two more arrests have been made after multiple people were stabbed at a commuter belt railway station on Friday.

British Transport Police (BTP) received a call to Egham train station at around 9pm on February 6 following reports of a number of people with knife injuries.

Two 20-year-old men were found to have suffered stab injuries, while a third, aged 22, sustained a slash injury to his face.

A fourth victim, who was aged 18, had also been assaulted.

All four were taken to hospital, and none are in a life-threatening or life-changing condition.

The BTP confirmed on Sunday that two additional arrests had been made in connection with the incident.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH), the force confirmed.

A 23-year-old woman was also arrested.

BTP explained that officers await further information on the nature of her arrest.

Both suspects remain in police custody.

A 33-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of GBH.

He has since been released on bail.

Three of the injured people were identified as students at Royal Holloway University.

A spokesman for the university said: “There is no ongoing threat.”

“Our teams supported the students involved last night and will continue to offer help,” the spokesman added.

At the time of the incident, Detective Superintendent David Udomhiaye said: “We’re aware of concerns from the local community and, while this is of course an incredibly serious incident, I can confirm that thankfully no one has been fatally injured.

“This is being treated as an isolated incident at the station involving two groups of people who we believe were not known to each other.

“Officers have been working with partners overnight to establish what happened.

“A cordon is still in place and we’re grateful for local people’s patience and understanding while this important work is completed.
