Leader of Reform UK Nigel Farage addresses the Mandelson scandal and Sir Keir Starmer’s position as Prime Minister.

Delivering his verdict on Sir Keir’s apology, Mr Farage said: “We all have friends who’ve become miscreants, disappointed us, let us down. But in this particular case, a very powerful man, convicted of child prostitution, the fact that somebody of Peter Mandelson’s level in society chose to continue that relationship after the prison sentence isn’t just an error of judgement on Mandelson’s part, it’s a grave error of judgement on the Prime Minister’s behalf too.

“He [Keir Starmer] is deeply unloved by his own party, he was never loved by the country, he’s the most unpopular Prime Minister of modern times, and ultimately, prime ministers get things right, they get things wrong.

“But the reason they become Prime Minister is because people trust their judgement, and his judgement is seriously wrong. He won’t stand down voluntarily, quickly, but I very much doubt he’ll be there in three or four months time.”
