Israeli clubbers were allegedly told by a DJ to say “Free Palestine” to continue playing music for a karaoke night in the West End.

Humanitarian activist Ahmed Alkhatib witnessed the alleged “antisemitic” incident alongside a colleague at the Munster Tavern on Sunday.

Mr Alkhatib claimed the DJ started playing the song, Tel Aviv Ya Habibi, but consistently stopped it within seconds of beginning.

The activist initially thought it was a technical issue to begin with, before realising the song was being halted deliberately.

He then asked the DJ what was happening as other clubgoers became confused.

Mr Alkhatib told Jewish News: “You know what he tells me? He said: ‘If one of them comes out on stage and says ‘Free Palestine’ out loud, I’ll play it’.”

The activist immediately objected, claiming the comment was unnecessary and targeted.

Mr Alkhatib has condemned the whole incident, describing it as “total antisemitism”.

Jewish News reported that it had obtained a receipt from Mr Alkhatib and his colleague, confirming their visit to the bar shortly after midnight.

GB News has contacted venue owner Shoreditch Bar Group for comment.

Just two miles down the road, a drunken mother who yelled antisemitic abuse at diners at a famous kosher deli in central London while shouting “Free Palestine” has been spared jail.

Segments of Mary Clarke’s attack on customers at Reubens Cafe and Bakery were captured on camera during her antisemitic tirade.

Ms Clarke, who had been out binge drinking, accused families while they ate their food in Reubens of “killing babies” before exclaiming “Free Palestine”.

In the footage, a diner claims that Ms Clarke broke their phone by dropping it on the floor and also mentioned something about being Jewish.

The drunken woman screams in the clip: “I’m from f***ing Ireland” before throwing food over the diners.

She then walked away, shouting constantly, before going over to a group of men at a nearby table outside the cafe and shouting “Free Palestine”.

WESTMINSTERMAGISTRATESCOURT

The mother appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, with her defendant saying she is “totally mortified by her behaviour, she totally accepts her responsibility”.

She was sentenced to 25 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, during which period she will be supervised by probation.

She was also mandated to participate in an alcohol abstinence programme and will be fitted with a tag to track her alcohol intake.

Ms Clarke was further ordered to pay £100 compensation to each of the victims of assault and £43.50 to the cafe to cover the cost of the items she damaged.
