The following day, Ulster derby in Division One between newly-promoted Monaghan and 2024 All-Ireland champions Armagh completes an action-packed weekend.

There is no slowing down as there is another double weekend to follow between both codes.

On Saturday, 31 January, Derry host Tyrone in in one of Ulster football’s great rivalries, while on Sunday, 1 February, attention turns to hurling with Antrim manager Davy Fitzgerald pitting his side against his native Clare in a Division 1B clash in Dunloy.

The Saffrons return on Sunday, 22 February when they host Carlow, while it’s back to football on 28 February for another intriguing clash as Tyrone host Mickey Harte’s Offaly in Dungannon.
