Geraint Thomas says the atmosphere on the Welsh stage of the 2027 Tour de France will rival that of Alpe d’Huez.

Tour de France organisers have confirmed Wales will host the third stage of the iconic race in 2027.

Tour general director Christian Prudhomme says the challenging Welsh stage of the 2027 Tour de France could shake up the early battle for the yellow jersey before adding: “Wales is made for bikes.”
