A row at an Aldi car park escalated after a woman allegedly “threw a hot drink” on a mum in front of her children.

The altercation outside the supermarket at Abbey Retail Park, in Daventry, west Northamptonshire, occurred over a parent and child parking space, police said.

It happened between 1.10pm and 1.15pm on December 8.

One woman allegedly threw the drink over another, who was with her two children.

The suspect then “aggressively reversed her vehicle at speed”, Northamptonshire Police said.

The force added that the vehicle stopped just “inches away” from the mother’s car.

Police described the suspect as a white woman in her late 60s who is around 5ft 4ins tall.

She was said to be of a stocky build with short brown bobbed hair with a red tinge.
