Richard Tice has insisted Reform is “pausing for breath” after latest polling showed the party facing a dip in support.
Pollsters at More in Common have drawn up its most up-to-date forecast for the parliamentary make-up of the UK after the next General Election, forecasting Nigel Farage’s party to dominate with a majority of 112.
Meanwhile, Labour and the Tories are neck-and-neck for support on 85 and 70 seats, respectively.
But, despite Reform’s projected win, its estimated vote share of 31 per cent has taken a shallow yet noticeable dive from heights of 35 per cent in polls over the summer.
But the dip was batted away by Mr Tice, saying: “That’s not a problem. It means we’ve got a majority in order to save the country and make people better off again and control our borders. That’s a good thing.”
But GB News host Camilla Tominey pointed out: “You’re going to need a stonking majority for some of the legislative reform that you’re proposing, right?
“But isn’t this landslide, if you get it, on 31 per cent, just as loveless as Labour’s? Isn’t this problematic, bearing in mind that Corbyn, Corbyn of all people, got a 40 per cent vote share in 2017?”

In response, Mr Tice said: “Well, that’s why we want to keep battling.
“That’s why we’re going to campaign hard for these mayor elections, where we’re hoping to do very well up and down the country, where we’re still allowed to have elections because the Tories and Labour are trying to counter them.
“But we’ll be focusing very hard on that. And if we achieve that, that’ll give extra strength and momentum.”
“But isn’t the electoral maths actually showing that you’re going backwards?” Camilla questioned, stressing that summer support for Reform reached highs of 35 per cent.

“Unfortunately, you’ve peaked too soon, Richard Tice,” Camilla concluded.
Hitting back, Reform’s deputy leader joked: “No, we’re just having a gentle pause for breath. We’re giving the others a little bit of a chance. We don’t want to destroy them too early.
“The reality is we’re going to keep moving forwards.”
Still, Camilla added Reform “can’t be pleased” their voteshare is down, suggesting it indicates dwindling momentum.
“You have got the Greens and others nipping at your heels,” she added.
But Mr Tice was quick to slap down the accusation, interjecting: “We’re at about 28, 30, 31.
“The Greens are down at 15, 16 with a guy who thinks he can enlarge parts of the women’s body by just looking at it. I mean, this is just ridiculous.
“I’m very pleased that we’re leading all of these polls by over 10 per cent.”
