Watch the moment Charlie Peters was in stitches after Charlie Mullins accused him of “talking rubbish” amid a row over Sir Sadiq Khan.

The Labour Mayor accused the US President of launching numerous scathing attacks on London because he envies the capital.

Sir Sadiq also labelled those on the right of British politics as unpatriotic for trying to tear down London.

Joined by political commentator Aisha Ali Khan, Mr Mullins laid into the “stupid comment”, pointing his finger at Sir Sadiq for “ruining London”.

He blasted: “He’s a liar. He’s a waste of time. He’s made London probably one of the worst cities in the world, but he denies it. He’s ruined businesses.

“He’s ruined businesses, and nightlife because of increasing costs and the safety. To come up with Donald Trump is jealous over Sadiq Khan. It’s absolutely ridiculous!”

However, commentator Ms Khan insisted London is “an amazing city”, citing a reduction in crime across the city.

Back in September, the Mayor accused politicians of “spreaking misinformation” about the Capital’s safety after data revealed violent crime had dropped in every London borough over the previous year.

The GB News guests – and presenters – all weighed in on what they thought of London

City Hall stats compared the 12 months ending in August 2025 with the previous year, showing almost 9,000 fewer offences causing injury across the city, plummeting by 12 per cent.

Earlier on, Mr Trump accused Sir Sadiq of doing a “terrible job”, saying “crime in London is through the roof”.

“Look, Sadiq Khan was voted in for a historic third term only in May last year so it’s wrong to say that Sadiq Khan is ruining London or is causing all these problems,” the guest added.

“If anything, it’s basically the last 14 years of cuts to the police and so on that have resulted in this increasing crime, not just in London, but across the UK in general.

“So it’s wrong to just blame Sadiq Khan for all of the these wrongs going on right now,” she reiterated.

However, Mr Mullins appeared unconvinced, interjecting: “You don’t run a business in London.

“And believe me, the run of this is in London and trying to move around London with all the cycle lanes, with all the road closures, with all the additional costs.

“Believe me, he’s ruined London, he’s ruined many businesses and he will continue to do it.”

The row later came to a head as Charlie pointed out the vast array of positives that the city has to offer, claiming that “London was still thriving”.

“Otherwise, it would be empty. It’s not. It’s still thriving,” the star added.

“I’ll tell you what. For a newsreader, you’re just talking rubbish. You’re absolutely rubbish!” Mr Mullins raged.

Slightly taken aback, Charlie began to laugh while Mr Mullins threw jibes at the presenter.

“No, no, I live there, I love it. Calm down,” Charlie responded, trying to hold back a chuckle.

Still, Mr Mullins was on a roll, railing against London, saying: “You’ve got all the homeless people on the streets. You’ve got all the high streets shut.

“You got people scared to go out at night. And businesses can’t hardly survive!”
