A TikTok creator has revealed how she dropped 16lb using what she calls her weight loss “cheat codes”, insisting the whole process was surprisingly straightforward.

Emily Angelo, known as @skinnygirlymillionaire on the platform, told her followers she’s now at her slimmest ever after shedding the weight and credits fruit for helping her shed the fat.

“I recently lost about 16lb as someone who thought it was nearly impossible to lose weight,” she explained.

The content creator, who stands at 5’6, shared that she’d been stuck at 11st 6lb throughout most of her adult life before finally reaching 10st 4lb.

She’s now recommending three simple strategies that made her transformation feel effortless, starting with fruit.

Emily admitted she used to be a “chronic over-eater and a chronic snacker” who would buy fruit only to watch it go bad while she sat on the sofa munching popcorn instead.

But these days she can’t keep fruit in her fridge long enough.

“I’m someone who will eat fruit as my sweet treat, if I’m feeling a little snacky, or if I’m unreasonably hungry, I will reach for fruit,” she said.

She loves that fruit is low in calories, tastes delicious, and is incredibly nutritious.

“Don’t listen to anyone who tells you that fruit is not good for you or has too much sugar; those people are weird,” she added.

The second strategy that proved instrumental in Emily’s weight loss is walking.

Emily noticed that slim women seemed to walk constantly, so she decided to follow their lead. But she’s not talking about hitting the standard 10,000 steps that most fitness trackers recommend.

“I’m talking about 15 to 20,000 steps every single day,” she explained.

The results were dramatic, as she noted her body composition transformed as the “fat melted away”.

“It was so incredible. It’s easy to do. You can multi-task, and it helps regulate your appetite so you’re not ravenous,” she said.

In addition, Emily noted that walking helped keep her hunger in check throughout the day.

Her final tip centres on a daily tea ritual that she swears by, starting each morning with lemon water and green tea, then winding down with mint tea before bed.

“Drinking these teas has helped me build habits, structure, and has helped me lose weight,” she said.

She highlighted green tea benefits, noting it’s packed with antioxidants, which give your metabolism a boost and help curb those constant snacking urges.

As for the evening mint tea, she loves that it supports digestion, helps with hormones and skin, and satisfies her sweet tooth.

“Instead of wanting a late-night snack, I now just want a mint tea,” she explained.
