Social media star AngryGinge has been crowned King of the Jungle – breaking a more than decade-long record to do so.

The streamer, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, broke down in tears after raking in millions upon millions of votes to claim I’m A Celeb victory.

AngryGinge, 24, broke down in tears before telling hosts Ant and Dec: “I don’t think I can swear, but I feel amazing.

“Honestly a dream come true. I didn’t think I could go all this way never mind win. Thank you to everyone who voted.”

The 24-year-old boasts some five million followers online – but rallied 13 million voters to propel him to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2025 glory.

That tally is thought to have been the highest in more than 10 years.

After his coronation at the hands of 2024 winner Danny Jones, the social media sensation admitted: “I was a massive fan of the show but it was a lot harder than I thought.

“I reached out to people who had been on it before for tips and clues – but no one told me how hard it was going to be.

“I’m a lot mentally strong than I thought I was. That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

“There were so many days I wanted to throw the towel in. I didn’t do it to become king, I did it for the experience.”

After a triumphant walk across the I’m A Celebrity bridge, the 24-year-old was greeted by his mother Michelle and older sister Tasha, who both flew out to Australia two weeks ago to support him.

ITV bosses are said to be “thrilled” with the Twitch streamer’s terrestrial TV takeover.

He brought in around 12 million consolidated viewers across the first three episodes of the 2025 show – a record number for the broadcaster.

AngryGinge reportedly rakes in £1million per year year on the streaming platform, commonly dubbed “the Gogglebox of the internet” – but could be in line for a bumper television pay-rise with execs said to be sniffing him out for more deals in the future.

Celebs Go Dating receptionist Tom Read Wilson finished in second place – while ex-EastEnders star Shona McGarty placed third.

In her exit interview, McGarty, 34, said: “My anxiety has been up and down for as long as I can remember, but in here, I’ve learned a lot about myself, and I feel like it’s been a bit of a healing process for me.”

And just before AngryGinge was confirmed as king, Wilson said: “Because he is the titan of the trials, and because he’s done such a lengthy stint, I think that the crown has to rest on [gestures to Burtwistle].”

Earlier on Sunday, the three finalists completed their last Bushtucker trials after facing off against creatures including cockroaches, spiders and rats.

Wilson braved an eating challenge where he was served a pig’s vagina, which he described as “not ghastly”.

AngryGinge, meanwhile, endured mealworms and snakes crawling around his face as he attempted to collect stars from a box.
