Queen Camilla has appointed her new equerry after Major Ollie Plunket stepped down from the role.
The Queen has selected Major Rob Treasure, 29, to step into Major Plunket’s place.
The 29-year-old is a platoon commander of the first battalion in The Rifles, having studied at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, according to his LinkedIn.
Earlier this year, Major Treasure successfully completed The World’s Toughest Row with his partners Charlie Newman and Rob Cross, who are also serving British Army officers.
He told The Telegraph that he committed to the challenge in memory of his father, who died from cancer in 2021.
The team has raised over £130,000 in sponsorship for charities, including Macmillan Cancer Support.
The trio has been posting their journey on Instagram, celebrating their achievements on the way.
The challenge saw the group, who called themselves Team V3nture, take on over 3,000 miles of open water on the Atlantic Ocean.

It took the trio 40 days, 17 hours and 40 minutes to complete the venture.
The post caption read: “The regiment is incredibly proud of what he and his teammates have achieved and showcases the determination and bold spirit of British Army Soldiers.”
Equerries are officers of a royal household or court who assist members of the Royal Family, and usually spend around three years in the role.

The Rifles officer is popular with royal fans and “excelled” in the role.
The Queen said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to Major Ollie Plunket, who has been my staunch equerry for the past three years.
“He has excelled in everything he has done for me.”
Mr Plunket first took on the role of Her Majesty’s equerry in 2022, with his initial appearance at the Princess of Wales’s carol service at Westminster Abbey that year.

Camilla first appointed Major Plunket as her first-ever equerry in November 2022, according to Grazia.
The officer helped the Queen decorate the Christmas tree at Clarence House in 2023 during a reception for seriously ill children.
Major Plunket decorated the tree using his sword to the delight of the children, who queued up to give him ornaments to add.
Mr Plunket laid down the Queen’s wreath during this year’s memorial service at the Cenotaph.
