Zara and Mike Tindall are set to join forces with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s close friend for a “passion” project close to their hearts.

A post shared on social media on Thursday revealed they would be joining forces with Nacho Figueras and his wife Delfina Blaquier to take part in the Magic Millions Carnival in January.

The event is set to take place on Australia’s Gold Coast, and they will be joined by NRL legend Billy Slater, equine artist Nicole Later, and sports broadcaster Hamish McLachlan.

In the post, they revealed: “Zara Tindall MBE once again leads the lineup, continuing her remarkable tenure as our longest-serving ambassador and a much-loved part of the Magic Millions family.

“Joining Zara is husband Mike Tindall, NRL legend Billy Slater and equine artist Nicole Slater, Argentinian polo power couple Nacho Figueras and Delfina Blaquier, and sports broadcaster Hamish McLachlan.

“Their shared passion for the Carnival and horses brings incredible energy and star power to January on the Gold Coast.”

Zara has been a patron of Magic Millions Racing Women since 2012. As an Olympic-winning equestrian, she has become a champion of the event.

She is a regular visitor to the annual Magic Millions Carnival on the Gold Coast each January to promote women’s involvement in the racing industry.

Mr Figueras and Ms Blaquier are very close friends with Zara’s cousin, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan.

Nacho and Harry have famously played together during the annual charity polo matches for Sentebale, the charity Harry recently resigned from following disputes with the chair, Dr Sophie Chandauka.

Delfina was spotted in the first series of Meghan’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.

She was a successful high jumper in the 1990s and was featured in the episode, Love is in the Details. The pair met through their husbands.

The long-running relationship between Zara Tindall and Magic Millions was highlighted recently, when Mike used his public platform to promote the latest stage of the Queensland Off the Track Cup, a major event for retired racehorses.

The post, which featured a photograph of Zara riding, showed the opening of entries for the New South Wales qualifier scheduled for December 14 at the Sydney Summer Classic.

The annual Gold Coast carnival, which blends equestrian sport with high-profile events and thoroughbred sales, has become a fixture in their calendar.

The couple first visited the event shortly after their marriage, and have since described Australia as a place where they feel instantly at home.

The Queensland Off The Track Cup is one of Magic Millions’ more recent initiatives and has quickly grown in prominence.

The series is designed specifically for off-the-track thoroughbreds, giving racehorses a structured pathway into second careers.

Riders must compete on retired racers that have been retrained for showjumping, with qualifiers taking place across several Australian states.

Those who succeed earn a place in the final, which forms part of the Magic Millions Polo and Showjumping programme on the Gold Coast each January.
