Jeremy Clarkson set time aside last night to unveil a creative new meaning for a popular English dessert, using it to describe Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
The former Top Gear presenter, 65, took to X to proudly share his new word after a string of posts criticising the Labour leader.
The saga began when British politician Rupert Lowe MP posted: “Heavy rumours that Labour MPs are turning on Starmer. Good. He should be ejected from office. He has disgraced the position of Prime Minister.”
In response, singer Carol Decker said: “I wish I could invent another swear word to describe @Keir_Starmer.”
Ms Decker’s comment opened the floodgates, with users rushing to suggest their own creations for the Prime Minister, among them “A**maggot”, “C***wobbler” and “P***kasaurus”.
“I think Starmer, the name itself, should become a new swear word,” one user suggested, while another added: “Just stick with c*** Carol. We’re all used to it now.”
It didn’t take long for Mr Clarkson to join the thread and offer his own idea.
“Custard is useful. Half c*** half b*****d,” was his suggestion.

“That’s a good one! I don’t know if you have the copyright on that because I plan to use that phrase-I know several custards,” joked one follower, while another wrote: “Can’t wait to hear you use that next season on Clarkson’s Farm.”
Some fans jokingly called it “a terrible insult to custard”, while others went as far as suggesting the post could see Mr Clarkson “arrested”, likely referring to recent high-profile cases that have sparked debate about free speech laws online.
Mr Lowe’s original tweet about the Prime Minister, however, didn’t receive the same traction.

While some agreed with his remarks, others argued any replacement for Sir Keir would be “even worse”.
“Who would do a better job?” one asked, while another wrote: “His demise can’t happen quickly enough. However, the alternatives in the Labour Party are equally scary if not worse.”
The public feud between Mr Clarkson and Sir Keir dates back to the 2024 general election campaign, when the broadcaster repeatedly criticised Labour’s farming and rural policies.
Since then, Mr Clarkson has said he “hates” Sir Keir because he is “so flippant about farmers”.
Speaking on Times Radio in a previous interview, host Peter Caldwell asked whether the Prime Minister was still banned from Clarkson’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog.
“Oh God, yes,” the farmer replied. “I hate very few people in life, but I do hate that man. He’s awful. He’s definitely banned.
“He’s just so flippant about farmers. Whenever you ask him, it’s just like, ‘Well, who cares about them?’ And that’s one of the things I really dislike.”
The Labour government’s changes to inheritance tax on agricultural assets remain a contentious issue among English farmers, many of whom feel the government neither understands nor supports their industry.

The Clarkson’s Farm presenter has been involved in several controversies where his comments, whether on social media or in print, have sparked significant backlash.
Mr Clarkson’s The Sun column in December 2022 generated a record number of complaints to the UK press regulator, the Independent Press Standards Organisation.
In the article, he wrote that he hated Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, on a “cellular level” and dreamed of the day she would be “made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her.”
Furthermore, during a live appearance on the BBC’s The One Show, the presenter caused outrage after joking about striking public sector workers, saying: “Frankly, I’d have them all shot.
“I would take them outside and execute them in front of their families.”
