Winter Fuel Payments are set to be handed out to millions of older households following changes to the eligibility rules for the up to £300 in energy bill support.
Households with more than £35,000 in savings will their allowance clawed back through the tax system despite the ongoing cost of living crisis.
However, many pensioners have called on the Government to do more for Britain’s elderly which has called into question whether the Winter Fuel Payment is offering those in need enough support.
