GB News Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker shared his analysis whilst breaking the news that Andrew has been stripped of his prince title.
Cameron said that this will be “a hammer blow” from the King, as Buckingham Palace released a statement revealing that the royal will now be called Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
Andrew has faced controversy in recent years due to his links to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Breaking the News on Britain’s News Channel, Cameron said: “I understand the removal process applies to Prince Andrew’s titles including Prince, Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, and Baron Killyleagh as well as the style of His Royal Highness, through a formal process.

“The honours affected include his Order of the Garter and Knight Grand Cross of the Victorian Order.
“Of course, this is incredibly significant. The King has initiated a formal process to remove the title of Prince, presumably via letters patent.
“His daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, retain their titles in line with King George V’s 1917 Letters Patent.”
He added: “Prince Andrew had previously relinquished the use of his titles and honours temporarily, but that was not a formal removal which is what the King is now implementing.
“This is a very strong move from King Charles, delivering a hammer blow to his brother. It is unprecedented in living memory for a Prince title to be formally removed from a member of the royal family.
“The long-term resolution will involve the King formally removing the Prince title via letters patent.
“Prince Andrew will no longer be styled as Prince Andrew and will instead be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, following controversies surrounding his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and the sexual assault allegations, which he denies.”
It is understood that although Andrew denies the accusations, Buckingham Palace considers that there have been “serious lapses of judgment”.
In a statement, the Palace said: “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
“His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.

“Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.
“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”
The statement added: “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”
