Princess Beatrice stepped out in a £2,500 dress while attending a high society wedding of a childhood friend in New York.

The 37-year-old royal was present at the Long Island nuptials while her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, continue to weather intense public scrutiny.

Beatrice was pictured supporting her friend James Green, 37, as he wed his partner James Hirschfeld, 39, at the soiree.

She attended the event wearing a luxurious dress from the eclectic but now out-of-production fashion label, The Vampire’s Wife.

The Princess of York was pictured wearing a £2,500 navy silk-lamé Sky Rocket Dress from the designer.

Her gothic-inspired piece features a crew neckline and figure-hugging silhouette that flares towards the hem.

It also featured distinctive puff sleeves and a ruffled skirt.

Beatrice previously wore the stunning gown to a New York party in 2023 and again at a friend’s birthday celebration earlier this year.

The Vampire’s Wife, though no longer in production since last year, remains a favourite amongst royals – both Beatrice and Princess Kate have worn the brand’s designs on multiple occasions.

A brand popular for its distinctive style, singer Florence Welch once described wearing their dresses as making one “look like you’re practising witchcraft in a very romantic cult.”

The King’s niece appeared in high spirits as she celebrated with the newlyweds at their garden reception beneath a marquee decorated with flowers and candlelight.

Mr Green, 37, and Mr Hirschfeld, 39, who co-founded digital invitation service Paperless Post, welcomed society figures including photographer Count Nikolai von Bismarck and historian Mary Wellesley.

Guests enjoyed Italian dishes, including porcini mushroom risotto and raspberry pavlova, paired with Italian wines.

Photos from the event show Beatrice looking cheerful in her glittering navy gown, sitting alongside the happy couple during their meal.

It was clearly a chance for the princess to enjoy herself away from recent family troubles.

The wedding came as Beatrice’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, faced fresh controversy over correspondence she sent to Jeffrey Epstein in 2011.

In the letter, Fergie called the disgraced financier her “supreme friend” and seemed to express regret about previously condemning him publicly.

The revelations have prompted at least eight charities to cut ties with her, including the British Heart Foundation and Teenage Cancer Trust.

The duchess has stayed out of sight since the disclosure, whilst Prince Andrew remains in exile over his own connections to Epstein.

Friends describe Beatrice and her sister Eugenie as “deeply upset and ashamed” about the ongoing scandal surrounding their parents.

Royal insiders suggest Beatrice has now “lost all hope” of becoming a working royal as the family crisis continues to rumble on.
