If you’re not fussed about the next generation of Smart TVs just announced by Amazon, there’s never been a better time to buy one of the earlier models.

That’s because Amazon has slashed its Fire TV 2-Series televisions down to the lowest ever prices prices.

The single biggest discount applies to the 32-inch HD model, which enjoys a 32% price cut. That chops the price tag from £249.99 down to just £169.99. That’s cheaper than when it launched in the UK, when Prime members were treated to a special offer.

You can immediately tell this is a genuinely good deal because Amazon has attached a raft of conditions to the Fire TV 2-Series sale. Amazon warns there is “limited stock available at offer price,” so you’ll need to be fast if you want to snag one of these Smart TVs for under £170. Amazon also limits the number of TVs that can be purchased by a single shopper, with no more than two per customer.

Fire TV 2-Series plummets to ‘lowest ever price’

Fire TV 2-Series has plunged to its “lowest price ever” in the latest Amazon sale. The US retailer has warned it has “limited stock available at offer price”, so you’ll need to be quick. It’s also limited the number of Fire TVs to two per customer — so you won’t be able to kit out every room in your home with cheaper

Fire TV 2-Series

For £169.99, you’ll take delivery of a 32-inch television with a 720p resolution screen, packed with everything you need to watch live channels and on-demand boxsets via Fire TV.

From your favourite seat on the sofa, the experience will be identical to plugging a Fire TV Stick into the back of your telly, with access to hundreds of apps and streamers, like Netflix, BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Prime Video, YouTube, Tubi, Apple TV+, Disney+, and many more.

Using the Fire TV is identical to using a Fire TV Stick, with the same visuals, Alexa voice search features, and support for hundreds of streaming services, games, and apps out-of-the-box

The Fire TV 2-Series comes equipped with 2x standard HDMI inputs to connect to satellite set-top boxes and video game consoles. There’s an HDMI ARC to input audio equipment for enhanced sound.

With Wi-Fi 5 and Ethernet support, Fire TV 2-Series should offer a smooth streaming experience. In the box, you’ll find a remote control with instant access to Alexa, so you can ask the chatty AI for recommendations about what to watch next, general knowledge questions, or controls for some of the smart home gadgets.

If you want 1080p HD resolution on your new telly, Amazon is offering its 40-inch Fire TV 2-Series for just £5 more. You’ll benefit from a larger screen and improved resolution, but everything else is the same.

Fire TV 4-Series arrives with more HDMI ports, improved 4K Ultra HD resolution, and bigger screen sizes

Amazon has also slashed its Fire TV 4-Series models, which offer a 4K Ultra HD resolution display, three HDMI 2.0 ports, and one HDMI eARC 2.1 to connect an external soundbar, and bigger screen sizes.

Yes, the Fire TV 4-Series is available in 43″, 50″, or 55″ sizes. If you’re quick, Amazon is offering 37% off the cost of these models.

Prices start from £269.99, and Amazon is also limiting these models to two per customer.

This is the most affordable way to own a Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD resolution. The 4-Series arrives with support for more premium picture standards, including HDR 10 and HLG, to deliver a clearer and more vibrant picture with brighter colours compared to 1080p Full HD.

Limited to 2x Fire TVs per person, you can save almost 40% on these all-in-one TVs.

Fire TV 4-Series

Rounding out the latest batch of deals, the Fire TV Omni QLED Series used to be the flagship model before the launch of the Omni Mini-LED TVs in November last year.

For those who don’t know, QLED offers more vibrant colours and better contrast than standard LED panels. If you’re watching content in Dolby Vision IQ or HDR10+, expect to see the benefits of the QLED panel over the cheaper 4-Series and 2-Series lineup from Fire TV.

This is the most affordable model from Amazon that supports its ambient experience, which transforms your telly into a canvas that displays thousands of free artworks, personal photos, or Alexa widgets and more.

When you’re not watching telly, Fire TV Omni QLED can display artworks or Alexa widgets with Shopping Lists, Reminders, News and Weather, or live feeds from Ring video doorbells or other smart home gadgets

Amazon has added built-in microphones to the television, so you ask Alexa without the need to press-and-hold the microphone button on the bundled remote control. This talkactive AI can turn on the television, adjust volume, or find, launch or control content on-screen, so you can put down the remote (or lose it down the back of the sofa).

There are 4 HDMI inputs at the back of the television to connect to game consoles, satellite set-top boxes, or external soundbars via eARC.

Once the flagship Fire TV model from Amazon, the Omni QLED Series has been superseded by the much pricier Omni Mini-LED Series. And with a new generation of QLED TVs due to launch in the coming months, Amazon has slashed the price tag of these earlier models for a very limited time.

Limited to 2x Fire TVs per person, you can save almost 50% on these all-in-one TVs that offer hands-free access to Alexa voice controls, an ambient experience with widgets and artwork displayed on-screen when you’re not watching, and vibrant colours and better contrast in HDR content.
