Shabana Mahmood has vowed to GB News that she will deliver on her “one mission” to secure Britain’s borders.
She insisted stopping the boats and tackling illegal migration will be at the heart of her agenda.
Mrs Mahmood also promised to address legal migration, stressing the Government still backs an “open, tolerant and generous” country.
Pressed by GB News Political Editor Christopher Hope on whether she could halt Channel crossings before the next election, she repeated: “I’ve got one job. To secure our borders.”
