Boris Johnson was left stunned and exhausted after a meeting with Prince Andrew, a new book has claimed.

Andrew Lownie’s new book, ‘Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York’, claims a meeting between Johnson and the Duke of York was a disaster.

Lownie writes that Prince Andrew invited Johnson to lunch to discuss various issues in London.

The Duke of York reportedly arrived to the meeting with a list of things he wanted to discuss with the then-Mayor of London.

These issues included advising that Battersea Power Station should be demolished, including the listed towers, Lownie claims.

Boris Johnson was left exhausted and stunned after a meeting with Prince Andrew, a new book has claimed.

The royal author added that Andrew informed Johnson that he felt the Queen Elizabeth II Centre was too small and not fit for purpose.

Johnson reportedly responded: “Well, if it’s too small, it’s your mum’s fault.”

Lownie claimed that Johnson said following the conversation: “I’m the last person to be a republican but, f**k, if I ever have to spend another lunch like that, I soon will be.”

Boris Johnson was the Mayor of London between 2008-2016.

Just three years later, Johnson began his tenure as Prime Minister of the UK which he held from July 2019-September 2022.

The Duke of York stepped back from his role as a working royal in 2019 following his controversial interview on BBC’s Newsnight programme.

The duke has no route back into the Royal Family fold despite attending an Easter engagement with members of the monarchy earlier this year.

Despite his Easter appearance, sources said that Prince Andrew’s hopes for a return to royal life are over.

The Duke of York was photographed arriving at St George’s Chapel for the traditional Easter Mattins service.

He rushed inside the chapel, seemingly avoiding photographers, while other members of the Royal Family were also in attendance.

Despite his Easter appearance, sources said that Prince Andrew’s hopes for a return to royal life are over.

An insider told The Sun: “The door to a return is firmly closed.”
