Belgian Prince Emmanuel has embarked on an unexpected career as a DJ, performing under the stage name Vyntrix.

The 19-year-old royal, the youngest son of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, has released several dance tracks including “Palace” and “Rio” in recent weeks.

The young Prince describes his musical project as a duo creating deep house and tech house music.

His tracks credit “Emmanuel de Saxe” as composer, a reference to his full name Emmanuel of Saxe-Coburg and his saxophone skills.

The prince’s venture into electronic music marks a surprising departure from traditional royal pursuits, with his releases now available on streaming platforms.

Prince Emmanuel, who is third in line to the Belgian throne, has rapidly gained over 10,000 followers on his DJ Instagram account since his musical career came to light.

The 19-year-old is the third child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, with older siblings Princess Elisabeth, 23, and Prince Gabriel, 21, and younger sister Princess Eléonore, 17.

As the third of four siblings, the prince is not heir apparent to the Belgian throne.

That position belongs to his elder sister Princess Elisabeth, who is currently studying at Harvard University in the United States.

The young royal has received support from his extended family, with Luxembourg’s Grand Duke Henri using Prince Emmanuel’s track “Rio” at a summer garden party at Château Berg last month.

The Grand Duke, who is a cousin of King Philippe, featured the music in a video posted on the Luxembourg Grand Ducal Court’s Instagram page, showing him walking hand-in-hand with Grand Duchess María Teresa.

The Belgian royals maintain close ties with Luxembourg’s royal family, with Grand Duke Henri’s mother, Josephine-Charlotte, being the sister of Emmanuel’s grandfather, King Albert II of Belgium.

Emmanuel spent much of his childhood with his Luxembourgish relatives.

Beyond music, the prince is an accomplished athlete who has trained at a Spanish football academy, aiming to compete at La Liga level.

He enjoys skiing, tennis, windsurfing and running, whilst also playing the saxophone.

The multilingual royal, fluent in French, Dutch and English, holds an International Baccalaureate diploma and is currently “following a language and sports training at an academy abroad,” according to the royal website.

Prince Emanuel was recently seen with his parents and two of siblings, Prince Gabriel and Princess Eleonore, during the family’s pilgrimage to the cathedral at Santiago de Compostela.

The hike has become a tradition for the Belgian royals, established by the King in 2017.

However, Emmanuel was seen on crutches for the journey during the journey, forcing him to take several breaks during the journey.

Belgian media reported the King and Queen’s youngest child had injured his ankle and, based on a bandage on his right foot, has sustained it in his sporting pursuits.
