Just over a week after it was revealed Jessica Alba was splitting with estranged husband Cash Warren after 15 years of marriage, those hoping for a reconciliation may have their hopes dashed.
The 43-year-old actress met Warren, 46, on the set of her 2005 movie Fantastic Four in 2004, where he worked as a director’s assistant, and they were married four years later in 2008.
The share three children – daughters Honor, 16, and Haven 13, plus son Hayes, 7 – though it was revealed last week that they have separated.
The actress has now retained a divorce attorney, according to a new report from People, though sources claim they are still ‘friends and all about the kids.’
‘No matter what’s going on right now, it seems they will remain close. If they’re filing for divorce, it’s not because of some hateful drama,’ the source said.
‘They still look happy together. Jess has mentioned over the years though that it’s hard to keep the spark,’ the source indicated.

While it’s unclear when exactly they separated yet, Alba’s New Year’s Eve post featured a number of images… none of which featured her estranged husband.
‘Gratitude. Here’s to a colorful past year that was filled with connection, growth, adventures, laughter, peace, sisterhood, transformation, rebirth, joy and so much love,’ she captioned the post.
‘Sending hugs to everyone going through it- cheers to 2025 and even more love to come! Let’s goooo!’ she concluded.
Another report from US Weekly added that the exes plan to officially file for divorce ‘soon’ though the process has been stifled by the Los Angeles fires.
‘Cash has been slowly moving things out of their house but since the fires, they have been spending more time under one roof as a family,’ the source said.
‘They are being there for each other right now as it is a very stressful time,’ the source added.
The source also indicated that Alba will be keeping the couple’s Beverly Hills home, adding they are, ‘working it all out behind the scenes.’
‘They have had many ups and downs as any marriage would after being together for so many years,’ the insider continued.

Still, when it was all said and done, ‘the romance was gone between them,’ adding, ‘there were trust issues inthe past which led to many arguments.’
Last year Alba opened up on Katherine Scwharzenegger’s podcast, hinting at their struggles.
‘It’s all rosy for 2 and a half years, but then after that you become roommates. And it’s just, like, you’re roommates. You’re just going through the motion. It’s the responsibility. It’s a lot of, like, checking the boxes,’ she said.
