Her Netflix series Fool Me Once, an adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel, became a global sensation with over 98 million views in just 91 days.
Michelle played Maya Stern, a military pilot, in the drama, which cemented her status as a leading actress.
She initially rose to fame on Coronation Street, where she portrayed Tina McIntyre for six years before leaving in 2014. Since then, Michelle has taken on roles in Our Girl, Ten Pound Poms, and the Sky comedy series Brassic, in which she stars as Erin.
Mark, who found fame on TOWIE, has also enjoyed a varied career, including stints on I’m A Celebrity and Strictly Come Dancing.
The couple have been candid about the challenges they faced during Mark’s stint in Los Angeles as a presenter for Extra TV, which required them to navigate a long-distance relationship.
But the pair continued to collaborate on projects like their £1.3 million Essex mansion, documented on their shared Instagram page, @wrightyhome.
During a 2019 interview, Michelle, who was 32 at the time, spoke of her ‘frustration’ over being constantly asked when she and Mark were planning to start a family, saying: ‘In this day and age, you shouldn’t ask questions like that.’
She said: ‘They don’t know the background of what’s happening. It’s no one else’s business.
‘I get so frustrated. I’m asked purely because I’m a woman. But I’m immune to it now – it’s like a reaction and as soon as I hear it I brush it off, as it’s no one else’s business.’
Michelle’s representatives declined to comment.
