Police are hunting for a man who sexually assaulted a woman after she pulled into a lay-by to help him.
The woman had spotted the man ‘lying on the ground’ on the side of the A47 at Brundall in Norfolk at around 8.50pm on Monday, December 30.
She had been driving towards the Brundall roundabout and pulled into the lay-by to check on the man’s welfare.
As she did this, the man ambushed her and sexually assaulted her, police said.
Norfolk Police officers would now like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has relevant dashcam footage from the area around this time.
A spokesperson for the force said: ‘Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage following a sexual assault on the A47 near Brundall.

‘The incident happened on Monday December 30 at around 8.50pm when the victim, who was driving towards the Brundall roundabout, reported seeing a man lying on the ground in the lay-by.
‘When she pulled into the lay-by to check on the man’s welfare he sexually assaulted her.
‘Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has relevant dashcam footage from the area around this time.’
