A Sydney socialite has thrown shade at her ex-husband by hosting a lavish divorce party with friends, five months after their messy split.
News of Montarna Pitt and her husband Nicholas Pitt’s separation came to light back in July, with sources saying their split wasn’t amicable.
And on the eve of what would have been their six-year wedding anniversary, Montarna had the last laugh by throwing the ultimate celebratory party and reverting to her maiden name – Montarna McDonald.
The PR guru invited several girlfriends to the luxurious fine dining restaurant Mimi’s at Coogee on Thursday, where they wined and dined on lobster, pasta, salad and fries all while sipping expensive white wine.
A gorgeous decorated cake was also brought out that simply read ‘Montarna McDonald’.
Among the guests were Pilates queen Bernadette Sukkar (née Fahey), her sister Madison McDonald, stylist Caroline Tran and heiress Louise O’Neil (née Hay).

Montarna, 34, has also changed her Instagram handle to include her maiden name.
Taking to Instagram, Montarna documented the extravagant day and captioned her post: ‘To new beginnings.’
The stunning blonde looked ready to celebrate in a pink sequined knee-length frock that featured a plunging neckline.
Several friends and fans congratulated her on her fresh start.
‘To new beginnings, cheers Montana McDonald,’ Lisa Wipfli commented.
‘To a new adventure,’ another person added, while someone else wrote, ‘Such a beautiful example to your girls.’
The eastern suburbs socialite and her lawyer ex Nick parted ways early this year after almost six years of marriage and ten years as a couple.
Montarna, the founder and managing director of The Audience Agency in Sydney, and Nick share two young daughters together.

According to the Daily Telegraph, court documents were filed this year in the NSW Supreme Court and were believed to be an application for orders to make Nick’s father, Michael Pitt, trustee of the former couple’s $5million marital home in Paddington.
The publication reported at the time that Nick’s parents had cut off power and electricity to the property that Montarna was residing with their kids.
Montarna had asked Nick to vacate the property back in 2023 after ‘a number of disagreements’ and spent almost a year renovating parts of their abode.
‘Our courtyard is my favourite space; it’s the most completed space in the house and I’ve spent almost a year pulling it all together,’ Montarna told Sitchu in 2018.
‘So worth the time and effort – we practically live out there in the warmer weather, it’s such a social hub.’
The couple tied the knot back in December 2018 in an intimate ceremony at Redleaf Wollombi, just a short drive from the Hunter Valley in New South Wales.
Montarna highlighted her slim figure in the statement bridal gown that cinched in at the waist and revealed her toned back.
The blonde’s locks were styled at the nape of the neck and her striking facial features were enhanced with an elegant makeup palette.
Meanwhile, Nick cut a dapper figure in a crisp white shirt, a tailored black suit and dress shoes.
Montarna began dating Nick in 2014.
