Jessica Rowe cooked up a disaster in the kitchen on Tuesday when she attempted to make a simple plate of nachos for her family.
However, the author of the book Diary of a Crap Housewife lived up to her moniker as she instead managed to burn the Tex-Mex culinary dish to a crisp.
The former Studio 10 co-host, 54, took to her Instagram Stories with an image of the blackened nacho chips topped with dry mince and nearly evaporated cheese.
‘Why does this happen every time I cook nachos?’ the former journalist bemoaned as she posted the picture of the completely burnt and inedible dish.
While the original image of the disastrous meal has since expired from her page, Jess has shared some important advice from celebrity cook Justine Schofield.
The fellow author responded to Jess’ call for help and advised the TV presenter not to put nachos under the grill if she wants to avoid eating black chips.

‘Don’t put the grill element on to melt cheese, instead just let the cheese melt in a hot oven at 180 degrees,’ the culinary expert suggested.
It’s not the first time Jess has lost her battle against nachos in the kitchen.
In 2021, the podcaster attempted to once again show off her version of nachos in an Instagram post, as she revealed her unusual way of serving the dish.
While the food itself managed to look perfectly cooked, the former TV star served the meal on the metal oven tray it was roasted on.
To complete the appetising presentation, Jess left on large pieces of burned baking paper which were stuck to the tray around the nachos.
The jovial blonde even delivered the dish while wearing an elaborate, fetching nacho themed hat.
She explained in her caption: ‘Today is Monday! Monday is nachos! #craphousewife #nachoshat #burntbakingpaperfromthegriller.’
Earlier, Jess showed off her messy kitchen counter, piled high with the ingredients for her disastrous dinner.

Allegra has made a name for herself as a rising star in the modelling world after making her Australian Fashion Week debut in May.
But she admitted in June that her TV star mother’s connections are what helped her get her foot in the door of the competitive industry.
The teenager told Stellar Magazine that Jess got in touch with her old modelling agency and managed to get Allegra a spot with them.
‘I’ve always had a dream of modelling. I’ve loved fashion and styling different pieces from a very young age, including some from my mum’s wardrobe,’ she said.
‘When I was in Year 9, I became really curious and interested, so Mum got in touch with her old agency from when she did modelling when she was around my age.’
