Princess Kate and Prince William view Lady Louise Windsor as a “real asset”, royal sources have claimed.
The Princess of Wales, 42, is known to have a very close relationship with Louise’s mother, the Duchess of Edinburgh.
Sources claim that Kate has “enormous admiration” for Sophie’s parenting skills, having brought up her two children to value their privilege while having freedom away from the royal radar.
It is an approach the Princess of Wales is trying to adopt with Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

Kate is said to be especially fond of Lady Louise, who is studying English literature at the University of St Andrews.
Louise is a member of the University Officers’ Training Corps and is keen to pursue a career in the military, diplomacy or law.
Some in royal circles suspect that, under a future King William V, Lady Louise could be called on to support the family at an increasing number of royal engagements.
A family friend told The Mail: “She’s an absolutely delightful young woman and would be a real asset.”

Louise, 21, was raised with the knowledge that she would likely have to work for a living in the future, despite being the niece of King Charles.
Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh told The Times in 2020: “We try to bring them up with the understanding they are very likely to have to work for a living.
“Hence we made the decision not to use HRH titles.
“They have them and can decide to use them from 18, but I think it’s highly unlikely.”
Louise’s younger brother, James, Earl of Wessex, is turning 17 next month.
Meanwhile, Louise celebrated her 21st birthday last week.
King Charles, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales, led birthday tributes to the young royal on social media.
