Drivers have been warned to expect severe delays on one of the UK’s busiest motorways after a serious collision brought the roads to a halt.
The M6 is currently operating with roughly 90 minutes of delays and five miles of congestion after a vehicle collision caused an HGV trailer to overturn.
The incident which took place earlier this morning has caused lane one of the M6 northbound to close between J13 and J14 near Stafford as emergency roadworks get underway to repair a damaged barrier following a collision.
National Highways warned drivers to avoid the section and to allow extra time for the journey.
