Kyle Sandilands lost his driver’s licence on his way to work on Thursday morning, but the shock jock was in such good spirits over Trump’s US presidential election win he didn’t care.
‘You know what? I lost my licence this morning,’ the Sydney radio host chirped on-air.
Co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson and KIIS FM producer Josh Fox groaned and laughed almost simultaneously at Kyle’s revelation, without a hint of surprise.
‘One up to the Highway Patrol,’ he announced.
‘And you know what? I don’t even care.’
The 53-year-old media mogul, who receives a base salary of $10million for his KIIS FM breakfast radio show, said the results of the US election had trumped the potential for anything to ruin his day.
‘I don’t even care because I’m so delighted that Trump won,’ he said.
‘I’m so delighted Bitcoin went through the roof. The stock market went crazy. Everyone’s going to win from this.’

Donald Trump pulled off an astounding political comeback and regained the White House after being declared the winner of the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
His defeat of Vice President Kamala Harris marks a remarkable return for a twice-impeached president, who left office in 2021 on the back of claims that he had incited an assault on the U.S. Capitol building, and who was convicted earlier this year on multiple counts of business fraud.
‘Wow,’ Jackie O said slowly in response to Kyle’s assertion that a second Trump presidency is a ‘win for everyone’.

‘And I don’t care,’ Kyle continued gleefully.
‘That 14-year-old that can’t even grow a moustache that pulled me over this morning, he got a bit nervous when he realised who it was, but I didn’t use the power to intimate him. I said “eh here’s the licence”.’
Kyle added he initially thought the sirens blaring behind him belonged to an ambulance, so he ignored them for some time during his commute to the KIIS FM North Sydney office.
Kyle said he ‘doesn’t know’ how long he has lost is licence for
‘I [asked the cop] “Where’d you come from?” I thought it was an ambulance so I just kept driving for a while,’ he said.
‘Anyway, they were nice. I didn’t try to wiggle out of it.’
‘How long have you lost it for?’ Jackie asked him, not taking the bait.
‘I don’t know. I’ll have to time it so I’ll be overseas on my international licence,’ Kyle said.
Kyle then indicated he has plans to return to the US now that Trump is back in.
‘See yas! I’ll go to America for the next three months,’ he said.
The Kyle and Jackie O Show has been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump for many years, with his son Donald Trump Jr. even appearing on-air in 2021 to thank the duo.
‘Thank you for being a big supporter of my father, and my family. I just want to thank you for all of the support for President Trump. We need it, and God knows, down there, you guys need it too,’ Trump’s son told Kyle.
Meanwhile, Jackie O and newsreader Brooklyn Ross, sparked outrage in September during their sojourn to New York City by posing outside of Trump Tower, one of Donald Trump’s headquarters.
Ross captioned his picture with the words ‘fair and balanced.’
‘You’ve gone full MAGA bro,’ one disappointed listener commented.
