Dr. Phil McGraw has revealed that his appearance at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally in late October was ‘an act of rebellion’ against Kamala Harris.
While appearing on an episode of Piers Morgan’s Uncensored talk show, the 74-year-old TV personality insisted that he gave his 17-minute speech to stick it to Harris, 60, after his requests to interview her ahead of the election went unreturned.
‘I requested 25-plus times to speak to Kamala Harris and never got so much as a yes, no, maybe,’ he said.
The father-of-two continued: ‘I offered to give the identical speech at a Harris rally,’ McGraw insisted as he explained he offered to ‘cross out Trump’s name, write in Harris’ name.’
During his speech, which he clarified was not an endorsement for Trump, he described the former president as ‘tough as an old Army boot’ and said he wasn’t a ‘bully.’

As he spoke to Morgan, McGraw revealed that a Harris campaign staffer finally reached out to him the morning after his speech at Trump’s rally in New York.
After he was asked if he would be interseted in speaking at a Harris rally in Washington, D.C. McGraw said he told the staffer: ‘Absolutely, tell me when and where to be, and I will bring a transcript of the speech and give it at a Harris rally.’
‘Never heard another word once they found out I was serious,’ he claimed.
McGraw, then, stood firm in his belief that his speech at Trump’s rally was not given to ‘endorse Donald Trump.’
‘I do not like celebrity endorsements,’ the talk show host explained.
Still, McGraw said he doesn’t ‘back off of what’ he said ‘[at Trump’s rally] one iota, not one word.’
‘I would still go to a Harris rally and say exactly the same thing,’ he added.
When asked directly if he has made a decision on who he’s voting for, the star replied: ‘I think I have, but I’ll never tell.’

‘Whoever it is, we’re all Americans, and once that process runs its course and America picks a president … We have to get behind that person and support them,’ McGraw told listeners.
During his speech at Trump’s New York rally, McGraw made it clear that he doesn’t ‘like or agree with everything Donald J. Trump does or says.’
‘No human is perfect. We don’t strive for perfection. We strive for excellence. But you don’t have to love everything about someone in order to love them, and the last thing he needs is some celebrity endorsement,’ he stated.
McGraw also spoke about how different the media covers celebrity endorsements when a star is endorsing Trump versus Harris.
‘I would love to say it’s equal on both sides, but I’ll guarantee you when Beyoncé, George Clooney, De Niro and Rizzo come out and say they’re for Kamala Harris, did you read anything or hear anything in the media criticizing it?’ he asked. ‘No, but you watch what happens tomorrow morning when people find out I came here to talk to you.’

Harris has received an outpour of support from Oscar winners, Grammys superstars and musical icons, including from Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Ricky Martin, Charli XCX, Bruce Springsteen, George Clooney and Eminem.
Meanwhile, public figures, like Kanye West, Dennis Quaid, Elon Musk, Kansas City Chief kicker, Harrison Butker, Russell Brand, Savannah Chrisley, Kelsey Grammar, Hulk Hogan and Kid Rock, have said they are voting for Trump.
