A man has been shot dead after a Halloween rave erupted into a violent brawl.
An unidentified man was found by members of the public at Langford Street in North Melbourne at about 3.15am on Saturday. He died at the scene.
Investigators have set up a crime scene around the industrial area, which is close to a train line, a major road and a creek.
It’s understood a massive fight broke out among party-goers before the man was killed with a 7News camera operator allegedly assaulted at the scene.
The man’s body was covered by a large tarp on Saturday morning as forensic officers scoured the area for evidence.
Victoria Police said investigators are still working to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
Anyone with relevant footage or who saw what happened has been urged to come forward.
