A three-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car.
The girl was reportedly struck by the vehicle at the intersection of James Cook Drive and Heatherton Road, in Endeavour Hills, in Melbourne’s southeast at about 8.30am on Thursday.
She was rushed to Dandenong Hospital in a critical condition while the 24-year-old driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries.
A children’s scooter was seen collapsed on its side in footage obtained from the scene by Seven News.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, has CCTV, dashcam footage or any other information is urged to call Crime Stoppers.
Investigations into the crash are continuing.
