Justin Timberlake canceled his Tuesday night show in Newark, New Jersey because of an injury – four months after his DUI arrest.
The 43-year-old singer made the announcement on his Instagram earlier on Tuesday, informing his fans that the concert had been postponed.
He assured ticketholders he would ‘reschedule’ the tour date ‘ASAP,’ but did not disclose the nature of the ‘injury that is preventing me from performing.’
‘I promise to make it all up to you and give you the show y’all deserve,’ he wrote. ‘Thank you guys for understanding. Appreciate your support always.’
Timberlake’s DUI arrest occurred shortly after midnight on June 18, when he was pulled over after leaving the American Hotel in Sag Harbor in the Hamptons.

In his Instagram announcement posted Tuesday, he wrote: ‘I’m so sorry to postpone tonight’s show. I have an injury that is preventing me from performing.’
He told fans: ‘I’m so disappointed to not see you all – but I’m working to reschedule ASAP. I promise to make it up to you and give you the show y’all deserve. Thank you guys for understanding. Appreciate your support always.’
The Sexy Back singer had been slated to perform a date of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour at the Prudential Center in Newark.
Timberlake’s next concert is still scheduled to take place in three days, this Friday evening at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
