Andrew Garfield revealed an erotic thriller is one of the films he wants to make in the future.
The Amazing Spider-Man actor, 41, said that a genre that he hasn’t done yet but really appeals to him includes an erotic thriller similar to movies like Fatal Attraction and Unfaithful from director Adrian Lyne.
He also told The Hollywood Reporter that it ‘would be really, really fun’ to work on a ‘humorous, dramatic, romantic’ project, such as ‘a big, crowd-pleasing epic adventure.’
‘I’m considering all these things right now,’ he said. ‘I would love to make a film or a show or something that has the feeling of the stuff that I was brought up on, like ’90s, early 2000s. Amblin Entertainment, adventure, swashbuckling, Indiana Jones-style.’
In the interview published on Saturday, the We Live In Time star — who is currently dating Kate Tomas, a ‘professional witch’ with celebrity clientele and four-time divorcée — also talked about his new film, in which he stars opposite Florence Pugh, and taking time away from the spotlight.

The Oscar nominee recently concluded a brief hiatus from Hollywood and will be making his grand return to the big screen.
He talked about the types of movies he wants to work on next, one of which is an erotic thriller.
‘But from what I understand, young people want less sex on their screens! It probably makes sense because they’ve been exposed to so much insane, graphic pornography, accessible at the click of a switch that they’re like: “No more.”
‘So eroticism has been killed somehow, because of the overtaking of pornography. Anyway, I don’t know.’
Garfield also said he was interested in performing on stage again and becoming a mentor.
‘I want to go do theater again, do something on stage again. I don’t know. I’m very, very grateful,’ he said.
‘I also want to help. I think maybe the focus is more as well towards helping others get to where they want to get to. I don’t know what that looks like exactly, but I feel like I’m in a position that I can be a mentor to other actors and filmmakers and assist in that way. That feels like a good way to spend my time,’ he continued.
‘It’s all up for grabs. Midlife is not so bad.’

Garfield also spoke about the actors he would love to work with next and listed 28 of his peers, which included Ryan Gosling.
He recalled: ‘I did a screen test with Ryan Gosling 20 years ago, and ever since then, I wanted to do something with him. He’s very inspiring to me.’
In We Live in Time, Garfield and Pugh star as Tobias and Almut, an up-and-coming chef and a recent divorcée, who fall in love after a chance encounter.
The logline reads: ‘As they embark on a path challenged by the limits of time, they learn to cherish each moment of their unconventional love story.’
They learn to cherish their time together when a late-stage cancer diagnosis rocks the happy home they’ve built.
