During that evening, William used his speech to praise “the indigenous communities and local conservation leaders who provide the practical solutions to how we can best sustain our precious natural landscapes.” Mrs Tindall had also been present at the Tusk awards in 2022.
The couple additionally championed marine conservation, joining the opening leg of the Blue Marine Foundation’s third London-to-Monaco fundraising cycle ride in September 2018.
At the time, Mrs Tindall stated: “Our oceans are constantly under threat and it’s for that reason that we are joining 100 brave cyclists in raising awareness around vital marine conservation projects like Blue’s so that they can receive the funding and support they need.”
Mike Tindall echoed those sentiments, saying: “Both myself and Zara believe its really important to help protect the oceans for our children and future generations to enjoy.”
Ms Goulding, meanwhile, expressed deep regret over her association with the stones. She said: “You will certainly not see me wearing diamonds originating from the Argyle mine again. The indigenous and local communities affected deserve better. While I am mortified to have made this error in judgement, I am letting this moment serve as a reminder and an opportunity to continue to question the status quo, learn and do better.”
Mrs Tindall’s agent did not respond to GB News’s requests for comment.
