Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice has wedded his long-term partner Isabel Oakeshott in what has been described as a “special” ceremony.
The pair had been engaged since December last year. Yesterday, they officially tied the knot in a ceremony at Westminster’s Chapel of St Mary Undercroft.
On social media, Ms Oakeshott – international Editor for TalkTV and former GB News presenter – described her wedding day as “so special”.
“Thank you Nigel Farage for introducing us ten years ago,” she added.
Following the ceremony, the pair had gathering with 70 friends and family members at the top of the Shard, with English still and sparkling wines on offer.
The newlyweds have six children between them from previous marriages.
The Chapel of St Mary Undercroft is situated in Westminster Hall, with the venue often used by MPs and peers for weddings.
Mr Tice proposed to his now-wife at the Royal Oak pub in Ramsden, Oxfordshire on Boxing Day.
Speaking about that special moment, Ms Oakeshott told the Daily Mail: “He appeared to be rooted to the bar stool, with his hand gripping his glass of mulled wine.
“He also asked for a 14-day cooling-off period, which I rejected.
“Politicians, eh? There’s always some small print.”
Since last year, the couple have split their time between Mr Tice’s constituency in Lincolnshire and Dubai.
