A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man died at a property in Rochdale.
Police were called to Curzon Road at 19:55 BST on Wednesday over concerns for the welfare of a man at a property.
Emergency services attended and the man died at the scene.
Det Supt Richard Hunt said officers were working “at pace” to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police said the man’s next of kin have been informed and were being supported by specialist officers.
The man arrested remains in custody for questioning.
Det Supt Hunt said: “A scene will remain in place for several days. You may also notice an increased presence of officers in the area to provide reassurance. Please feel free to chat to them if you have any concerns.”
