Zac Brown’s estranged second wife Kelly Yazdi declared she ‘will not be silenced’ by him after he filed a temporary restraining order against her last Friday over Instagram posts he claimed were allegedly in violation of a confidentiality agreement she signed.
‘No one — not even Zac Brown with all of his money, power, celebrity, and lawyers – may silence my right to freely express myself through art or, although I have to date declined to do so publicly, to speak about the circumstances of our pending divorce,’ the 32-year-old influencer – who boasts 35K TikTok/Instagram followers – wrote on Sunday.
Kelly believes the posts the 45-year-old country crooner considered ‘false, defamatory, or otherwise harmful’ were two poems that did not name him but one included the hashtags: #narcissisticabuse, #narcissistsurvivor, #narcssistrecovery, #narcissist, and #narcissisticpersonalitydisorder.
‘What will become of this story inside my chest?’ Yazdi wrote in another poem last week.
‘Will I excavate it from my bones give it light and water, and air? Let it bloom into a garden of flowers in your name? Or will I let it stay and let you bury me? This is the question I am always asking myself: What will become of my stories: gardens or graveyards? The photosynthesis of healing.’

The court has yet to sign off on Zac’s temporary restraining order against his former Zac Brown Collective executive VP, but he shared his own Instagram snap the same day as the filing captioned: ‘Just worry ’bout what’s in your cup and tie up.’
Kelly plans to ‘respond swiftly and robustly to his meritless complaint’ and scoffed at the idea that her personal social media account was divulging any ‘confidential information’ about Brown.
Yazdi went on to claim the club scenes from the three-time Grammy winner’s February 22nd music video for the late DJ Avicii’s remix of his 2015 track Beautiful Drug ‘deliberately mocked their wedding party from only a few months before.’
The Ride Wild CEO specifically pointed to the lookalike video vixen featured popping pills, drinking, and dancing was ‘a false and defamatory caricature obviously intended to be me and hurt me.’
‘Yet he now claims his “only hope” is that we show each other “mutual respect” by keeping “private matters private” as we negotiate the terms of our divorce,’ Kelly continued.
‘In a misguided effort to do just that, I have made no public response to either of those very public, very unnecessary personal attacks on me by my celebrity soon-to-be-ex-husband. But it is clearly Zac, not me, who has strategically chosen to drag our difficult divorce negotiations into the public eye with these tactics in an effort to portray himself as a victim and to use his vast resources to silence me from telling the truth about our marriage.
‘It will not work, and I will not be silenced by him no matter how ridiculous his tactics. Like Zac, I have lawyers too, and I will tell my truth in court — where he has unnecessarily dragged me.’
Yazdi was married to Zac for less than four months before they legally separated last December, but they had been a couple as far back as May 2022.

Kelly was stepmother to Brown’s five children – Justice, 16; Lucy, 15; Georgia, 13; Joni, 12; and son, Alexander, 9 – from his 12-year marriage to Shelly Sloan (R, pictured in 2015), which ended in 2018

The Pirates & Parrots rocker originally met the Good Grit Magazine editor in 2005 through a mutual friend shortly after she graduated from Georgia State University, and when they shared their first New Year’s Eve kiss he declared her ‘the one.’
‘We feel blessed to be on such an incredible journey in life and sometimes the journey begins to lead in different directions. It is with deep love and respect that we announce we are separating as a couple,’ the former couple said in a statement at the time.
‘We have led a whirlwind life together growing into a beautiful family with five amazing children and while life will be rearranging a bit, our love and commitment to our family will always be there. This was a difficult decision, but we’ve done plenty of tough things together and this is our next venture — love, mutual respect, and care for each other are what we are moving forward with.’
Zac’s 22-year-old, nine-member country band is next scheduled to perform this Saturday at the FedEx Field in Landover, MD.
Kelly keeps busy with her many paid partnerships with brands like Coral Reef Swim, La Peony Clothing (LPC), PSE Archery, Polaris Inc., and Carhartt.
