The expert commented: “Women’s body types vary significantly and dressing to flatter one’s specific shape can enhance one’s overall appearance.”

She said: “Darker colours tend to minimise areas, while lighter and brighter colours draw attention.”
Patterns
She added: “Vertical stripes elongate the body, while horizontal stripes can widen.”
Fabrics
“Structured fabrics can help define the shape, while flowy fabrics can create a softer silhouette,” she added.
Accessories
Annii added: “Belts can highlight the waist, statement necklaces can draw attention upwards, and scarves can add a focal point.”

Fashion expert Annemarie warned against wearing large, bold prints as they may not be a flattering look for mature women.

She said: “Often, large prints are associated with our age group and the shops will push those large prints – for some reason they think it appeals to us.
“Do the opposite – do the absolute opposite. Go for the smaller, ditsy prints.”
Another style influencer shared a similar sentiment, advising women to get rid of large, floral prints. Instead, pick “small florals” as these “don’t tend to look as dated”.
