A woman who believes she got skin cancer after not using sunscreen is warning others to take protection.
Deborah Kane, from Wigan in Greater Manchester, was diagnosed with melanoma at the age of 19, more than two decades ago.
She also had the cancerous moles in her neck, intestine and leg, and had to have an eye removed when the cancer spread.
As a way of thanking her doctors, she has held social events – known as “eye balls” – to raise funds for The Christie cancer hospital and Manchester Eye Hospital.
